Rykneld Sports Centre is a friendly, local facility based in Mackworth, Derby, just off Prince Charles Avenue (old Derby College site). We are owned and run by Derby Grammar School who have almost exclusive use of the site during the day weekdays. Evenings and weekends we are available for external hire for one-off and regular bookings for individuals, teams and clubs.Available to book are:
Indoor
- Cricket – two bays of indoor cricket nets with mats, plus large area for skill practices and fielding drills
- Badminton – five courts
- Table tennis – two tables
- Basketball – four fixed rings and backboards and retractable roof-mounted net
- Netball
- Soccer – Five-a-side
- Coming soon…. Fitness Suite opening to the public (set times tbc)
Outdoor
- Hockey – four goals for seven and 11-a-side practice and matches
- Soccer – five and seven-a-side mini football
- Grass pitches for Rugby
